Responsible to:                  Nutrition Site Manager

Description:                        

Assist the site manager serving nutritious meals to our clients as provided and as scheduled.  Provide activities and companionship at one of the adult nutrition sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:                  

1.   May occasionally assist  with taking reservations, recording cancellations, recording and  talling numbers of meals, answering phones.

2.   Participate in daily activities with participants.

3.   Greet those arriving.

4.   Encouraging group participation with activities.

5.   Dispensing food.

6.   Eat and visit with new patrons.

7.   May need to count donations at end of day.

All meals are by donation.  Volunteers may donate if they so desire.

Qualifications:

1.   Sensitivity to the desires and abilities of the patrons.

2.   Enjoy working with elderly population.

3.   Respect and concern for the clients’ welfare.
