Friendly Visitor-Programs for those 60 & older

 

Companionship

Our Friendly Visitor volunteers provide important weekly home and/or telephone visits. These visits support those ages 60 and over. The program is designed to increase socialization and prevent isolation while providing emotional support and encouragement. Some volunteers help with errands, shopping and more.

 

 Friendly Visitor- Pathways to Active Living (PALs)

Workshops which promote positive thinking, relaxation, and stress reduction. The warm, welcoming and social atmosphere makes the skill building groups particularly effective. 

Aging, the Unexpected Gift - Starting in June of 2017

Retrain Your Brain - Starting in September of 2017

 

Senior Center Without Walls (SCWOW)

SCWOW is an interactive group telephone program.

Weekly call provide participants with socialization.

Group telephone activities and special topic programs are designed to provide participants with socialization, armchair travels, and education, all accomplished in the comfort of thier own home.
