Event to benefit Meals on Wheels

    Kenosha Junior Woman’s Club presents Tapas & Tango, formerly known as the Taste of Elegance Food & Wine Fair, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on April 12 at Harborside Best Western, 5125 Sixth Ave.

    A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Meals on Wheels, a program of Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services Inc. Advance tickets to the event are on sale now and can be purchased at the Meals on Wheels office, 7730 Sheridan Road. The cost per ticket is $40. Tickets at the door will be $45.

    This year is the 35th anniversary of Meals on Wheels, which is why the Kenosha Junior Woman’s Club selected it to be the charitable recipient of the fund-raiser. Meals on Wheels was developed by the Kenosha Junior Woman’s Club in 1973. After setting up the program and testing the concept, the organization turned the operation over to Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services.
