Bowls ’n Bakers

Jim Coin, of Twin Lakes, comes back to the Bristol Oaks Country Club table for a second helping of cheese and broccoli soup from Chef Michael Wilcox on Wednesday at the sixth annual Bowls ’n Bakers fundraiser for Meals on Wheels and other senior services. About 230 people attended this year, where so far $4,000 has been raised, said Lauren Zielsdorf, director of Meals on Wheels and More. There were seven soups offered at the event. The top three were Linda’s Wilmot Cafe in first place with asparagus and ham chowder, Mad Dan’s Family Restaurant with creamy chicken and rice and in third place was Twin Lakes Country Club with reuben soup.
