Friendly Visitors

When asked, many Friendly Visitor volunteers explain that they enjoy "visiting" because they miss a past relationship closely shared with a grandparent or an elderly friend.  Others simply want to make sure the elderly are cared for.

Understandably, many of Kenosha's elderly do not have family members close by for companionship or for visiting.  Very often, shut-ins become lonely and desire interaction with others.

The Friendly Visitor Program bridges the gap between volunteers and our elderly to supply caring companionship to frail elders.

Volunteers can help by providing the elderly with volunteer services they need to maintain their health and independence.
