Volunteer Vista

A Memorial to Recognize Volunteers in Kenosha County

Developed by Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services, Inc. &

City of Kenosha Parks Department

 Engraved Brick Recipients

Every day in Kenosha County, citizens volunteer to help their neighbors and their community.  They volunteer in their neighborhoods and they volunteer through hundreds of private and public organizations.  And at the end of each day, they have made our community a better place to live.

Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services, Inc.(KAFASI), in cooperation with the City of Kenosha Parks Department, has created a memorial to recognize volunteers for their service to our community.  We have named the memorial Volunteer Vista and it is located in Eichelman Park, one of Kenosha, Wisconsin’s  most beautiful lakefront parks at 6125 – 3rd Avenue.

Volunteer Vista is located on a promenade that borders the northeast corner of Eichelman Park with a panoramic view of Lake Michigan and a horizon that includes a faint glimpse of the Sears Tower in Chicago on a clear day.  Volunteer Vista includes two benches on a concrete patio-like surface, a brick memorial centerpiece with the names of volunteers inscribed on individual bricks, a plaque thanking volunteers for their service, and in the near future, an assortment of shrubs and trees to surround the patio-like area.

It is our hope that people visiting Kenosha’s beautiful lakefront will walk by Volunteer Vista, stop for a few minutes to enjoy the view, rest on the benches and see our tribute to volunteers.  We would like it become a place that will inspire and recognize volunteers in our community today and for years to come.

KAFASI has the largest volunteer organization in Kenosha County with over 900 volunteers providing services for senior citizens and the community.

We welcome donations of cash or services from the community to support Volunteer Vista.  Please contact us or send your donation to:
