Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services, Inc. (KAFASI) is calling on the community to step up for local seniors during March for Meals Week, March 23–27, 2026. This national Meals on Wheels campaign raises awareness about senior hunger and isolation while encouraging communities to take action.

Across Kenosha County, the need for Meals on Wheels continues to grow. KAFASI is inviting volunteers, donors, and advocates to become community champions and help ensure older adults receive the nutritious meals and meaningful social connection they deserve.

A Growing Need for Support

Across the United States, more than 13 million seniors struggle with hunger, and thousands are currently waiting for Meals on Wheels services due to rising costs and limited resources. This year’s campaign theme, #CommunityChampionsWeek, highlights the important role communities play in supporting older adults and helping #EndTheWait.

“Hunger and isolation should never be part of aging,” said KAFASI leadership. “Our community has the power to ensure every senior receives the meals and connection they deserve.”
