KAFASI Launches 2026 March for Meals Campaign to Support Senior Nutrition Programs

Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services Inc. (KAFASI) is proud to announce the launch of its annual March for Meals Campaign, running from March 23rd to March 27th, 2026. This year, the campaign is more critical than ever as KAFASI works to raise awareness about the urgent need for continued support of senior nutrition programs, particularly Meals on Wheels.
A Call to Action: A Community’s Collective Response: Protecting Senior Nutrition Programs
The Older Americans Act, which provides funding for essential senior services like Meals on Wheels, is vital to our ever-increasing senior population. With the consistent rise in food costs, the affordability of healthy nutritious meals, overcoming isolation, and staying connected to the community is vital to the health and longevity of our senior community. In response. The #EndTheWait movement – a key focus of this year’s March for Meals Campaign- aims to reach more seniors and ensure that no senior goes without the nutrition and support they need.

“Meals on Wheels plays a vital role in the support and care of our seniors. Beyond delivering a meal, our volunteers build relationships with seniors, which helps overcome isolation, as well as keeps them connected to the community as a whole.” – Shebaniah Judah, Executive Director of KAFASI
“With the ever-increasing costs of food, packaging, and overall services of Meals on Wheels, it is important that we as a community come together to ensure our seniors have a healthy meal daily, that they can rely on. We are grateful to have the support of our local leaders, businesses, and overall community as we continue to address the issues of our seniors.” – Shebaniah Judah, Executive Director of KAFASI
